How do I obtain a Higher Education Application?
Answer:
There are two options. The first option is to contact the QVIR Administrative office and ask to have a copy of the application mailed to you. Please provide your accurate mailing address at the time of your call. The second option is to visit www.qvir.com and download the application.
What are the deadline dates for submitting Higher Education Applications?
Answer: Applications for college are taken year-around but are subject to funding availability.
How long does the application process take?
Answer:
The length of the application process is contingent upon receipt of all supporting documentation. Once the Education Director receives all the required information, the process generally takes up to two weeks. Following application processing and eligibility determination, an award letter is sent to the recipient requesting an acknowledgement signature. After applicant returns the Award Letter, the award is finalized and sent directly to the appropriate school.
What should I do with the Financial Needs Analysis?
Answer:
You must submit the Financial Needs Analysis form directly to the Financial Aid Department of your Academic Institution. Once the appropriate Financial Aid Department completes the form, that department returns it directly to the Quartz Valley Indian Reservation’s Education Department; either by mail, by fax or by electronic transmission. Student applicants should not return the award to QVIR. To ensure proper delivery of the Financial Needs Analysis form, students should provide to his/her Academic Institution’s Financial Aid Department the following contact information:

What happens if I do not maintain a 2.0 GPA or carry a full-time schedule (a minimum of 12 units)?
Answer:
QVIR will place you on probation within the Higher Education Program. In order to come off probation, you must meet the minimum requirements the following semester. If you do not meet the minimum requirements, you will not be eligible for funds the following school year.
